Reading is incredibly well-connected: 40 minutes to central London; 25 minutes to Oxford; and a 35-minute drive to Heathrow and its worldwide destinations. We couldn't be better placed. And the borough is a hub for creativity and culture. Thousands of people flock to the Reading Festival every year to enjoy some of the world's the world's biggest live music acts. Our Pride Festival is another annual highlight, celebrating a vibrant and inclusive community where everyone is welcome. And we are investing in our community facilities: new sports facilities in the town are making it easier for people to live healthy, active lives.
